Elizabeth Hunter is an actress, model, and dancer more known for her roles in Jersey Boys, Nashville, Finding Carter, and her most recent starring film 90 Minutes in Heaven. This girl next door and recent winner of the Georgia's Entertainment Young Artist Award is taking the Red Carpet by storm. Elizabeth set aside a few minutes of her time to discuss her budding career and her love of tulle with us!
How would you describe your "style" and what inspires that style?
My style is casual, but fun! I split my time between Georgia and Los Angeles, so I’m definitely influenced by the styles from the West Coast. I love a look that is comfortable and casual, yet stylish. The best look is one that appears effortless but looks amazing!
How did it feel to win Georgia's Entertainment Young Artist Award?
It was such an honor just to be nominated and included in this group of amazing young actors. When they announced my name as the winner, I was truly surprised and then I was immediately worried because I hadn’t written a speech! I didn’t want to forget to thank anyone.
Was that your first red carpet? If not, tell us about your other experiences on the red carpet.
My first red carpet was for the premiere of the movie, “90 Minutes in Heaven.” There was a lot of press, and I answered a lot of questions. A few weeks later, I walked the red carpet at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party. That carpet was a lot more focused on fashion and what look everyone had chosen, instead of interviews for a movie. That made it a lot easier, and it was really fun to see what everyone was wearing!
How do you prep for the red carpet and select your outfits?
Prepping for the red carpet is a lot of fun! You have to consider how casual or fancy the event is going to be so you’re not totally overdressed or underdressed. It’s really important to feel 100% comfortable in what you’re wearing, so you can feel confident while walking the red carpet. The outfit you choose makes a statement about who you are, so it’s important to pick something you love. For the Teen Vogue party, I worked with a stylist in LA and tried about 30 different outfits before deciding on one. She had everything from the shoes to the accessories.
You chose Tutu Moi to style you for not only your headshots portfolio, but your red carpet appearance for the GA Entertainment Gala. Why do you love Tutu Moi's skirts so much?
I loved wearing a Tutu Moi tutu with a casual top and Converse high tops for my headshot portfolio. It was the perfect combination of feminine and cool. I also love how the tutus add a fun touch to a classy outfit and keep it more youthful. When I was nominated for the Youth Artist of Georgia award, I knew I wanted to incorporate a Tutu Moi skirt into my outfit for the Gala. Rebecca worked with me to design a skirt that was current and sophisticated, but still youthful. The color was perfect, and I absolutely loved the final product! I did wear heels instead of Converse though!
We thank Elizabeth for her time and her fervent support of our brand. Tutu Moi wishes her the best in all of her extraordinary pursuits!
